Training your people actually remember
Built and delivered by someone who takes the time to understand your business, your people and your material. From a single seminar to a full training programme.
USE CASES
How clients use me
Some clients need a course built from scratch, or an overseas one localised. Others need someone to step in while they recruit. Here are six ways current clients work with me.
01
Nobody has time to build it
The knowledge is already in your business, in manuals, procedures, or one expert's head. What you don't have is someone with the hours and the training background to turn it into a course.
OUTCOME
A finished, teachable programme built from your own material.
02
Replacement Trainer
Your trainer has left. I step in immediately, maintaining your schedule and your relationships with sites, branches or dealers while you recruit.
OUTCOME
Continuity with zero visible disruption.
03
The course came from head office
Content written overseas for a different market. I localise it, add the context your people need, and deliver it here so it lands rather than being read out.
OUTCOME
Global content that works for a local audience.
04
Capacity Extension
More courses than your team can deliver? I take the overflow on your timelines and to your standards, or run a second stream in parallel so two audiences are covered at once.
OUTCOME
Full schedule delivered without overloading your team.
05
It needs to go online
Classroom material that has to become e-learning, or new modules built from nothing. Articulate Storyline and Rise, SCORM packaged for your LMS, with workbooks to match.
OUTCOME
Consistent training your whole network can access.
06
You're not sure training is the answer
Sometimes the problem is a process, not a skills gap. I run the needs analysis first and tell you honestly what training will fix and what it won't.
OUTCOME
A clear plan, and no budget spent on the wrong solution.
Not sure which fits your situation?
Most engagements start with a 20-minute call to discuss your goals, your resources and your audience. No obligations, just a conversation.
Deliverables
Training Delivery
One hour seminars through to full two to four day courses. I manage the schedule, develop and run the practical activities, and handle the health and safety briefing on the day.
Manual Development
Full research and real world validation of every topic before it reaches a page. Professionally formatted and brand consistent, supplied as print ready PDF or editable Word.
PowerPoint
Concise, visual slides with a written instructor guide, so your own people can run the course again after I've gone. No text heavy slides. Your source material combined with custom built content.
Quizzes and Final Test
Knowledge checks through the course and a final test to confirm retention, scoped to your requirements. Results delivered to you on the last day of training, not weeks later.
E-Learning
Articulate Storyline and Rise modules, SCORM packaged for your LMS, built from your source material or developed from scratch by KIBŌ. Downloadable workbooks and resources at additional cost.
Consultation, Survey and Support
Needs analysis before we start, participant satisfaction surveys compiled into a written report afterwards, and free ongoing revision of anything KIBŌ develops and delivers.
Building Training That Actually Works
THE KIBŌ STRATEGY
KIBŌ Owner: Steve McAneney
Every course I develop or deliver has one goal in mind, for the participants to learn something. I never simply ‘deliver’ content, I use educationally sound methods like repetition, blended learning and humour to thread ideas together until students experience that ‘aha’ moment.
I rarely teach in the same order as the training manual, I teach in the order it’s easiest to learn in. A training manual has to be easy to reference, a face-to-face lesson easy to remember.
The ‘Aha’ Moment
I lived in Japan for 15 years, where I learned what ‘Omotenashi’ customer service is, and to be mindful of other’ perspectives. I also lived in Germany for 3 years, which taught me that meticulous research and a repeatable process, including validation phases, is the only way to ensure reliable, teachable training materials.
These are the main two factors that guide me when developing and delivering training.
